This years Freshman Seminar is not only for freshman ! The focus of the Seminar is library management, and even veterans in the field will benefit from this program.
This years Freshman Seminar will focus on Library Management, and will be taught by a team of highly qualified librarians who have among them decades of experience in a wide variety of library situations. The presenters are: Maureen Reister, Liza Stabler, and Bruchie Weinstein. Topics to be covered include: writing library policy, collection development, reference, budgets and budgeting, programming, and fostering relationships (specifically in a school, with faculty and administration) in order to maximize library productivity. There will be ample time for questions and answers. Handouts will be provided to participants. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required.
