HUC-LA is located near downtown Los Angeles. Since we are almost surrounded by fires (to the west, north-west, north-east, east and south-east - most 30-60 miles away) our air is pretty smokey and sooty. One staff member did have to evacuate her home, but so far is doing well. Besides worrying about friends and family who are living closer to the fire-regions, we're doing well.
