Has anyone had experience with laminating dust jackets instead of using traditional products? When I first came on board here, book covers were being laminated instead of covered with polyester and other products made for that purpose. At first, I thought it was horrible, even to save time and money. My concerns were that it was becoming a permanent part of the book, was it acid free, and it felt weird. But now, after using regular book covers, I'm reconsidering - but only if it's acid free. This is for a large synagogue collection.
