We are currently inputting our collection at Sinai Temple library in to Library Thing. It is quite straightforward. If we see the title but not the edition, there is an option to add another edition. We can not modify the subject headings that are established on the records, so to add "subject headings" we actually need to add "tags" to books already input but that should serve our patrons.
We can also add new titles. (I am not sure how the subject headings are controlled, in this case. I will find out.) As far as remote access for patrons, when we are ready we can set up a user id and password for Temple members to access the catalog from their own computers.
