New Book: "My Children, My Heroes: Memoirs of a Holocaust Mother",
By Sonia Minuskin, Translated and Annotated by Her Son, Harold Minuskin

This is a powerful story of survival. My mother not only saved her
own life, but also
the lives of her two very young children. She eluded the first
roundup and slaughter of
Jews in our town in Byelorussia, near the Polish border. Then she hid
herself and her
children to evade the German murderers when the final liquidation took place.
Miraculously, she avoided capture and fled with my infant brother and me into
the nearby forests of Byelorussia, where she joined up with the
Jewish Partisans.
My father, a Partisan fighter, participated in many battles and acts
of sabotage
against the Germans. We lived day-to-day for nearly three years,
hunted and hungry,
until our liberation by the Russian army in 1944.

The book costs $23, including shipping and handling.
