I am posting the following letter on behalf of Rabbi Jonathan Plaut:

I have a collection of remainder books authored by W. Gunther Plaut,
Elizabeth S. Plaut and myself, which I want to donate to Jewish
institutions throughout the world. This is the second (and last)
notice for these titles.

I am pleased to forward them to you at my expense. I ask that you
please list the books in your library catalogue and on WorldCat if
you are a partner.

These are the remaining books available:

Through The Sound of Many Voices was written as a tribute for my
father. On the occasion of his 70th birthday, 23 leading writers,
scholars, and religious leaders honored him by writing original
articles in their own fields of interest and scholarship.

Included are articles by Eli Wiesel, William Hallo, Walter Mondale, Rabbi
Walter Wurzberger, Robert Gordis, and Emil Fackenheim that appear in
no other publication.

Your Neighbour Is a Jew is a unique book that clears the air of
prejudice and provides a lively catalyst for discussion and better
understanding among people of all faiths stressing the common
heritage of Christian and Jew. This is a book for non-Jew and Jew –
one of the few of its kind addressed to both, providing a platform of
mutual understanding.

My father also ventured into fiction, writing short stories and
novels. We have the following remainder books available: Hanging
Threads is a book of short stories to feed the imagination.

Die Tora In judischer Auslegung (Deuteronomium) The Torah in German

My mother's books, The Guggenheim/Wormser Family: A Genealogical 300
Year Memoir, and The Gumprichs of Munster/Westphalia: A Tale of Four
Continents are extensive studies of genealogy and trace many roots,
which would be of interest to Jewish students. For an example, the
actor Kevin Kline is a relative.

Please remember that we do not want any books exchanged or sold, so
let us know what will fit with your collection.

I would truly like your library to have these books and look forward
to hearing from you.
