It is official! We are now an ALA affiliate organization. ALA will be setting up a page for our organization on their website. We are invited to send 2 representatives to ALA in summer and also to Midwinter. At Midwinter we will be part of a lunch meeting with their Executive Director. At summer we can have a table with information about AJL.
ALA also announced the Sydney Taylor Awards in their newsletter. This should give AJL much more visibility and hopefully allow us to reach many more people.
