Remembrance and Renewal:
Chamber Music by German Jewish Composers

A concert of rare musical treasures from the collection of The Library

The program, based largely upon manuscripts of compositions by
Herbert Fromm, Heinrich Schalit, Hugo Chaim Adler, and Herman
Berlinski, presents the chamber music repertoire of Jewish composers
in a larger historical context. The works represent the parallel
secular and musical identities of synagogue musicians in
German-speaking lands. The majority of the works are U.S. premieres.
