The Library of The Jewish Theological Seminary invites you to Remembrance and Renewal: Chamber Music by German Jewish Composers
A concert of rare musical treasures from the collection of The Library The program, based largely upon manuscripts of compositions by Herbert Fromm, Heinrich Schalit, Hugo Chaim Adler, and Herman Berlinski, presents the chamber music repertoire of Jewish composers in a larger historical context. The works represent the parallel secular and musical identities of synagogue musicians in German-speaking lands. The majority of the works are U.S. premieres.
