It's a true story, written by caver Chris Nicola, about an extended Jewish family that hid in what is now known to be the largest underground cave system in the world, located in the Ukraine, during the Holocaust. In exploring these caves as a professional spelunker, Nicola uncovered the remarkable story of this family and the book tracks both the family's story as well as the science of cave exploration.
