Seeking an Executive Director Jewish Public Library, Montreal The Jewish Public Library is a leading research institution, full-service library and cultural centre on the threshold of its 100th anniversary. Under the direction and guidance of the President and the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the organizational, operational and administrative functions of the Library and for overseeing its fundraising operations. The Director works closely with the Montreal federation of Jewish agencies (FCJA) and its affiliated agencies and maintains strong relationships with the Jewish and general community. The successful candidate will be a dynamic self-starter with a knowledge of libraries and information technology; sensitivity to and awareness of Jewish culture and connection to the Jewish community; strong administrative and interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task. The candidate will be fluent in English and French. Hebrew and Yiddish are an important asset.
