Washington D.C. in the summer is quite humid and Pods would be a terrible way to store books. What money you might save by storing the books on site you would loose by having damaged books that would require replacement. Up near the kosher butcher and the Charles E. Smith school there are some storage places that are climate controlled, and you can contact me off list for the names and phone numbers. There are also professional library movers who could pack the books for you.
