Many of you may be familiar with CAJE, the Coalition for the
Advancement of Jewish Education. NewCAJE is holding its second annual
conference July 31-August 3, 2011 in Greensboro, NC. (This is the
second conference since CAJE reinvented itself.) The purpose of
NewCAJE is to explore what makes Jewish education work. Their slogan
is "Re-imagining Jewish education for the 21st century."

Wouldn't it be great to have librarians there as part of the mix at
this conference? Those teachers need to remember that we're out
there! I encourage any interested AJL-ers to consider attending this
conference. Early bird registration ends May 16 (this coming Monday),
so take a look at their website right away to see the
details:http://newcaje.webnode.com/. If you are under age 43 they
even have a special Young Professionals track with all kinds of special perks!

If you do go, please let me know. I'm working with a committee of
AJL council members to figure out how we can spread the word about
AJL to other organizations, and I'd love to hear about your
experience interfacing withNewCAJE!
