I thought you might find this interesting. There are 8 branch libraries on campus. McKeldin Library (the main library and the largest library building by far) was effected the most, particularly on the upper floors. There is no serious damage to the collections. McKeldin Library was closed to the public on Tuesday, August 23 and Wednesday, August 24 for cleanup efforts following Tuesday's earthquake. Books fell off shelves on a number of floors. The library is currently closed to the public, while cleanup is underway and engineers are making their final assessments.
