I wanted to post this for Wendy Lewis, a local author here in L.A., for those who may be interested in her new children's book: Wendy initiated and ran the very successful Learn Israel program to over 30,000 students and 600 educators, recently released her first book for students between the ages of 7 - 10, titled, "Sabrina, The Girl With A Hole In Her Heart." The book tells the story of Sabrina, a 10-year-old girl from rural Zanzibar who must decide whether to leave her family and fly alone to Israel for a life-saving heart surgery. This contemporary story is based on the work of Save a Child's Heart, an Israeli- based humanitarian organization of volunteer doctors, nurses and staff, who have saved the lives of over 2,600 children of all faiths from all over the world.
