The latest Rabbi Rocketpower book, Rabbi Rocketpower in a Tooty-Fruity Tale for Tu Bishvat is a welcome addition to my library’s Tu Bishvat collection! Not only is the selection of books for this holiday limited, the available books are mostly for younger students. This book is perfect for the upper elementary crowd.
Books about time travel are always winners, and this is no exception. Students will love the antics of Purr and Tooty Fruity as Rabbi Mensch tries to conduct her synagogue’s Tu Bishvat Seder. It’s a great vehicle for not only telling the story of Tu Bishvat, but also giving ways to help the environment.
