Whatever you come up with, Hillary, do share it with the list. We started with
Nextbook books; we used Marc Chagall a few years ago and the kids made paper
windows, and we used Pinsky's King David and the kids did David things although
I don't recall from what book. Those worked. But we are looking for a book now
as well.

Thanks,
Barbara

Subject: [ha-Safran] Recommendations for adult congreg-wide read
withchildren's book tie-in

  All,

I am hoping that someone amongst you will be able to provide book
recommendations and suggestions for the following:

I am trying to plan a synagogue wide read for my congregation and I know
that it is usually only the adults and, perhaps, young adults who are
encouraged to participate in such events. But I would like to select a book
for the adults and then also select a children's book relating to the same
theme(s) or, at least, having something in common with the adult selection.
That way, when I plan events connected to the book, they will be of interest to
everyone.

If anyone can recommend an adult and children's book that would go well
together, I would greatly appreciate it. Neither book needs to have been
recently published.

  Thank you in advance,
  Hillary Finkel
