As some of you may know, Professor Moshe Lazar, a scholar of Romanesque languages, a pioneer of Ladino studies, an author and translator, and a true Renaissance man, passed away in Los Angeles on December 13, 2013. Moshe had recently retired from the University of Southern California where he taught and served as the Comparative Literature Department Chair since 1979. He never met a librarian or a library he did not like... A Memorial for Prof. Lazar will be held at USC on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Doheny Memorial Library, Rm 240, at 2pm. Personal notes may be sent to Sonia Lazar at: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>
