**Librarians as Leaders**

As a school librarian, you serve many roles-directing teachers to
resources, guiding students in research, leading PD events-supporting
learning in so many ways! Now you have a unique opportunity to advance your
own learning and become even more valuable to your school community-become
your school's TPS Coach!

Librarians as Leaders is a FREE six- week professional development course
designed by and facilitated by librarian and TPS educational consultant,
Jennifer Hanson, to help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to
bring Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources to your
colleagues. The workshop includes synchronous chat sessions supplemented
by independent reading, peer discussions, and project development outside
of class. Earn up to 28 Continuing Education Activity Hours.

Graduates of TPS Level 1 are welcome to register; others are asked to
complete the six online modules before attending. Visit
http://www.loc.gov/teachers/professionaldevelopment/selfdirected/ to locate
modules.

Those who submit certificates of completion will receive six additional
continuing education activity hours.
