Dear All,

i am trying to assist a student who is interested in a reference mentioned
briefly in an article that he would like to locate this reference and see if
there is more relevant material.

I hope the following is enough information for you to help him locate the
reference:

The citation can be found here:
http://ling.huji.ac.il/Staff/Moshe_Taube/docs/Hendiadys.pdf
Footnote 2, on the first page.

The information given is that it is biblical commentary by Rabbi David Kimhi,
c.1200, specifically for II Samuel 18.18.

he fund some general information about Kimhi's biblical commentary, but nothing
that seems to be a complete collection or that contains II Samuel.

He believe there is minimal material in the original work, but maybe a few
sentences more than what is quoted in that paper. He is interested in tracing
the history of analysis of this construction "take and do", also "go and see",
"try and get", etc.)", so this would be helpful for him
 Thank you

Laila
