Lacking a trained librarian, we are perplexed about the most meaningful and functional way to shelve children's materials for children and religious-school teachers who are browsing the shelves. By topic and then by age-appropriateness? By age-appropriateness and then by topic? Aside from those that are holiday-specific, materials are shelved alphabetically by author, which seems the least useful approach. Thanks!
