Dear Safranim, Read German fluently but can't read Gothic handwriting? Yearn to read Zweig or Buber from the original manuscripts? The National Library of Israel, together with the Leo Baeck Institute, is holding an additional 8-part course in reading German handwriting. The course will cover different scripts, beginning with the 18th century and continuing through the early 20th. The lectures and practicum will be given by Dr. Stefan Zweig, archivist at the Library, who has taught 3 courses of German handwriting. The course will take place on Tuesdays, 4:00-7:00 p.m., beginning April 14th.
