Terrorism in Cyberspace: The Dark Future? Book talk and presentation by Professor Gabriel Weimann [cid:image001.jpg@01D09208.DF461490] June 10, 2015 (Wednesday) at 12:00 Noon PICKFORD THEATER 3rd Floor, Madison Building, Library of Congress Gabriel Weimann is professor of communication at the University of Haifa, Israel and a world renowned expert in his field. He was a Fellow at the Wilson Center from 2013 to 2014. The war on terrorism has not been won, he argues in his new book, Terrorism in Cyberspace: The Next Generation (Woodrow Wilson Center Press and Columbia University Press, 2015). Jihadist terrorist ideology continues to spread on the Internet through websites and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and more. In his book, Weimann highlights the recent trends in online terrorism and outlines the emerging threats and the possible counter measures.
