1. The Diabetes Quiz http://www.diabetes.co.il The Diabetes Quiz is an educational website to help you learn about diabetes. There are 400 multiple choice questions about diabetes basics, diet and nutrition, fitness and exercise, stress and relaxation, and statistics. All questions include the source of the question and answer. You can share the entire site or individual questions via the social media buttons on each page. For teachers, nutritionists and dietitians, there is a print function to create and print offline quizzes. 2. Learn Hebrew Signs http://www.learn-hebrew-signs.com Modern Hebrew in Everyday Use. The site includes 438 photos of Hebrew signs. Below each photo is the Hebrew text with nikud (vowels) and an English translation of the text. The content is unique, educational and entertaining. 3. The Hebrew Langauge Portal http://www.hebrew-language.com/ The Hebrew Language website is a collection of free Hebrew resources available on the Internet. All selections were hand picked by me. The site is popular and gets organic traffic from Google search. The site also includes a popular song section where I created songs pages for 40 popular Hebrew songs including Hebrew text with Nikud and English translations. Each page is embedded with a Youtube video of the singer. There are social media buttons to share the song pages. 4. My English Hebrew Dictionary http://www.english-hebrew-dictionary.com/ Over 350+ study sheets organized by topic. The pages include the Hebrew word with vowels, and English translation and transliteration. The large collection was developed over several years. The most recent addition are the 25 employment sheets and 13 places sheets. 5. The Jewish Trivia Quiz http://www.jewish-trivia.com There are over 900 multiple choice questions in the system. Level 1 questions are geared to young students and Level 2 questions are geared to older students and adults. You can choose your level of play and timer settings. You can share the entire site or individual questions via the social media buttons on each page. For teachers, there is a print function to create and print offline quizzes. 6. My Jewish Games www.my-jewish-games.com There are 5 flash educational games on this site. The conetnt is unique. A new owner should invest in converting the games to html 5 which would work on more platforms. A. Language Match Game Learning new words in a foreign language is not easy. This Flash game will make learning a fun experience. There is a choice of two languages: Hebrew or English. The game has 3 levels and 15 card sets to choose from. Pictures of the items are show on the screen and you can hear the words in your selected language. B. Multilingual Word Search Enter the Multilingual Word Search game and choose the language you would like to play in: English, Hebrew or Russian. There is an easy mode for the kids and a harder mode for us big kids. Each game is randomly generated. You can even print out a blank game (and the solution page) for offline playing. C. Hebrew Hangman It's the classic Hangman game recreated in an online Flash version. If you expect your simple "hang the man by the rope" drawing then you are in for a surprise. D. My Jewish Coloring Book Young kids love to draw and this online coloring book is made just for them. Three different size "brushes" and 24 colors to choose from. You can print the completed color pictures or print black and white outlines to color offline. E. Israel Geography Game This Flash game will help you learn about the history and geography of 101 locations in Israel. There is a learning mode and game mode. Find out if you know more about Israel then Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv and Haifa. 7. Learn English with Jokes and Riddles http://www.learn-english-jr.com/ There are more than 300 jokes and riddles in the database. All jokes and riddles are suitable for all ages. Reading English jokes and riddles in class is a fun way to teach culture, grammar and vocabulary. Even native English speakers will find jokes and riddles that are worth telling their friends. The site allows you to browse through the jokes sequentially or choose a specific topic. If you do not have time to read all the jokes now, you can start from a specific joke number the next time you visit. 8. Hebrew Jokes - Learn Hebrew and Laugh http://www.hebrew-jokes.com Each joke is displayed in Hebrew with Nikud, and there is an English translation of the joke. The jokes are suitable for all ages. Reading jokes in Hebrew can be a fun activity in your ulpan or Hebrew class. Even native Hebrew speakers will find jokes that are worth telling their friends. 9. My Hebrew Songbook http://www.my-hebrew-songbook.com There are over 200 Hebrew songs. You can view any song online or create printed song sheets with several songs together for a sing along. All Hebrew is graphic so you do not need Hebrew support to view or print the songs. All songs include Hebrew nikud (vowels). 10. My Hebrew Programs http://www.my-hebrew-programs.com The site includes 2 Hebrew programs: A. The Hebrew Sign Maker Print Hebrew signs without Hebrew support. There are 11 fonts and two sizes to choose from. There are two special script trace fonts that will help your students learn how to write Hebrew script. B. In Memory Of When you visit a Jewish grave site, it is a Jewish tradition to read selected Tehillim (Book of Psalms). There are fixed verses and special verses that are read for each letter of the person's name. The special verses are called "Otiyot Neshama". The program lets you print these verses and there is an option to print a transliterated and translated English version of the mourners' Kaddish.
