Laura Nicole Diamond, author of the debut novel, Shelter Us asked me to let
our members in the Philadelphia area know that she will be doing a reading
benefitting Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Philadelphia, on July 16 at
Barnes & Noble in Rittenhouse Square, and would be honored to meet AJL members
then. She will also be in New Jersey (details to follow)

Shelter Us is contemporary fiction infused with Jewish values. “A watercolor
portrait of a family at a crossroads,” according to novelist Gina B. Nahai,
Shelter Us lifts up what it means today to “take care of the stranger” and
explores how values are passed down from one generation to the next.
