in cooperation with the Embassy of Israel present "IF THE DEAD COULD SPEAK" THE JEWISH CEMETERY IN WARSAW PRESENTATION BY FILMMAKER ASAF GALAY [cid:image001.jpg@01D243E0.B53F8560] THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8TH at Noon EUROPEAN DIVISON CONFERENCE ROOM JEFFERSON BUILDING, LIBRARY OF CONGRESS Director Asaf Galay is a maker of entertaining and innovative films about modern Jewish culture. His biography of the Yiddish writer Isaac Bashevis Singer, "The Muses of Bashevis Singer," was chosen to open the 2015 New York Jewish Film Festival. He recently released "Hebrew Superhero," a documentary about the development of comic books in Israel. Galay will speak on his new film, which focuses on the Warsaw Jewish Cemetery. Founded in 1806, it is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in the world, covering 83 acres of land.
