Sally, We will be reviewing this “book” in the next AJL Reviews. I am looking at it now and I can classify it as a “paper board book” if there is such a thing. The paper is bendable and does not seem to tear easily, thus the popular series is called “Indestructibles.” The illustrations are certainly very cute, but I would doubt they will be doing Jewish holidays any time soon. Maybe Passover. There are dozens of baby-friendly topics in this series, and not all of them are by the same illustrator.
One thing to note of interest: all males, babies, kids and adults, are wearing black kippot at all times in the illustrations. I’ve only seen it online and really like the illustrations. I’m wondering if she is Jewish and might do more holiday books in the future. -- Sally Stieglitz Communications and Marketing Librarian | Long Island Library Resources Council sstiegl...@lilrc.org<mailto:sstiegl...@lilrc.org> | 631-675-1570 x2005 http://www.lilrc.org [ORCID] http://orcid.org/0000-0003-1552-9188 [https://drive.google.com/a/lilrc.org/uc?id=18mOBM7stjImGw1apo-Ge8mCbCSonU0jg&export=download] LILRC is a member of the Empire State Library Network (ESLN<https://www.esln.org/>) Follow LILRC on Facebook<https://www.facebook.com/LILRCouncil/> Twitter<https://twitter.com/lilrc> Instagram<https://www.instagram.com/lilrcevents/>
