There are many reasons to apply for or to renew AJL library accreditation. AJL members have found that library accreditation:
- Encourages the librarian to review the library resources, identify the strengths and weaknesses of the collection, resources and programs, and plan for library enhancements - Raises the profile of the library in the eyes of the organization and community - Reasserts the status of the librarian as a key professional administrating a state of the art facility with much to contribute to the parent organization Applications can be found on the AJL website.
