I write this late at night as I rushed to finish up a day of teleworking, child care, and Passover cleaning (or, well, lack thereof). I want to wish everyone in the AJL family a very happy Passover in these confusing times. I hope AJL can continue to be a source of hope and connection for all of us.
We have been working to provide resources of friendship and freedom <https://jewishlibraries.org/Love_Your_Neighbor>, online connections from everything to haggadot to librarians, and ways to help patrons. I hope we continue to learn from each other as we stay apart, reminding colleagues of the work librarians do behind the scenes. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. I hope we will continue to share stories, resources, and discussions online this year and in person shortly. I am thinking of all in our community affected by the virus and wishing them refuah shelemah and comfort to their loved ones. Personally I am glad I can see my young children each day and share in reading quality Jewish books for Passover (and, hearing my son say his first word: "Bbb" while pointing to a book! I don't mean to overshare or brag, but I figured in a community of librarians we'll all understand the joy for a very early love of reading).
