Dear colleagues,
I am completing a study on Nathan Rapoport, creator of the famous monument
to the Warsaw Ghetto revolt, and am searching for information on the
following:
Some sources indicate that he had created a "Memorial to Jewish Fighters of
World War II," which was placed in Paris in 1950. Further, the French
government awarded him a medal - I do not know the medal's exact name,
presumably for this achievement (and perhaps others).
I have not been able to get further information on this, and would
appreciate further scholarly input.
Cordially
