Hey Hasafranim who use Elazar,
I'm about to catalog the new picture book Pumpkin Pie for Sigd: A Holiday Tale
by Jennifer Tzivia MacLeod. I figured for expediency, I'd put it in 285 where
I've got my other books on Thanksgiving with a Jewish angle, since the book is
a compare/contrast between Sigd and Thanksgiving. But I wonder where one would
generally put Sigd and other such holidays not part of the traditional Orthodox
holiday canon.
Could it be 252, between 251 (Tu b'Av) and 253 (fast days)?
Then there's also somewhere in the Israel section under 876 (religion/religious
organization).
Or perhaps 877 for Israeli celebrations/national observances? (Wouldn't that be
more secular?)
Thanks,
