Join the Judaica Network of Metropolitan Chicago (a local AJL Chapter) on *Thursday, February 23 at 5:45 pm CT* for a Zoom event on “Newberry Library Judaica: A Wealth of Treasures.” Chicago’s Newberry Library librarians take us on a discovery tour of their Judaica materials, integrated into their numerous special collections. The Newberry Library contains approximately 1.6 million books and 5 million manuscripts covering 6 centuries of human history. After an overview of the Newberry, its collections, the services offered, and an explanation of how to become a reader, viewers will see images of a range of materials that span from the Middle Ages to the Twentieth Century. Discussion and Q&A will follow. All are welcome!
