A Sunday school teacher who I know, who is trans, has just brought up a
concern about the cross-dressing costumes of Purim. She is very averse to
the concept, and it makes her upset to see people making it out to be a
great joke.

The book that drew her concern was "Purim Play" by Roni Schotter. Should
books like this (and I can recall one or two others with similar themes or
mentions) be quietly removed from circulation as has been done with books
with racial or ethnic stereotypes?
