Hi Samantha, I have found that kind of decorative paper (I think of it as wallpaper :) ) on 19th century Italian books - more often on endpapers than on bindings, but we have some examples or bindings as well.
See for example: https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://archive.org/details/ldpd_16612890_000__;!!KGKeukY!wd_xD9of5V8SqfEWSRDgYAMybzzUFKnBpeQiLmzhwIUgZTc7wZdCX6vggGHyvjNoagf5sECgxA2qRqwKLYxB$ (somewhat torn, but you can sense what was there) or this: https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://archive.org/details/ldpd_11542099_000__;!!KGKeukY!wd_xD9of5V8SqfEWSRDgYAMybzzUFKnBpeQiLmzhwIUgZTc7wZdCX6vggGHyvjNoagf5sECgxA2qRiBnN4Uo$ , both from orfu (under Venetian influence). https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://archive.org/details/ldpd_15344083_000__;!!KGKeukY!wd_xD9of5V8SqfEWSRDgYAMybzzUFKnBpeQiLmzhwIUgZTc7wZdCX6vggGHyvjNoagf5sECgxA2qRv6U0yhj$ - pastedowns Yours are much brighter and more vibrant, though, so I could be totally off here!
