I recently read the following post on X (Twitter). I know you can't believe
everything you read on the Internet, but Dahlia is quite reliable when it comes
to reporting on local events.
If true, this is not the first time Ontario's Forest of Reading has attracted
controversy regarding the anti-Israel bias of authors / books that they've
promoted.

@DahliaKurtzSo yesterday I told you about that mob of teens chanting, THERE IS
ONLY ONE SOLUTION. Well, today we have an influential figure using her platform
to teach kids to FREE PALESTINE — at a festival in Toronto!Nadia Shammas is the
author of Squire. Lots of kids were excited to see her at the @ForestofReading
Festival. At least two Jewish children were especially excited to buy her book —
and have it personally autographed. Until... Nadia gets on stage to receive an
award. She's introduced as a Palestinian-American who now lives in Toronto. She
gives her acceptance speech. Along with her take on what's happening in Gaza.
Then repeatedly calls out:FREE PALESTINE!A speech to Grade 7-12 kids. And those
Jewish kids, who really wanted to meet Nadia, immediately made the choice not
to purchase her book.Smart kids. They could teach those brainwashed university
students, sitting in their own filth a thing or two. University students who
were probably radicalized by people like Nadia.Oh, fun fact! The Forest of
Reading is run by the government-funded@ONLibraryAssoc (Ontario Library
Association)
Do you think it's okay for an influential public figure to use a platform like
a kids' literacy event to #FreePalestine? Let your thoughts be known:Forest of
