It is important to note that the Knesset maintains an open national legislation
database:

Naturally, searches are conducted in Hebrew, but one can still locate the text
of the law.

Through the Knesset’s website, it is also possible to find protocols and
discussions that preceded the law.
Here is the link to the law in the Knesset's open national legislation database

On that page you have link to החוק המקורי that takes you to all the documents

The Festival of Sigd
In the year 5786, the Sigd holiday falls on Thursday, November 20, 2025This
page compiles employee rights related to the Sigd holiday. Wherever there is a
personal or collective agreement or practice that benefits the employee more
than the law, it must be acted upon and not according to the law

The festival of Sigd (Ge'ez: ሰግድ - "worship"), also called the festival of
praise (ምህልላ - "supplication") and amata su (ዐመተ ሰወ - "day of the gathering"),
is one of the festivals and festivals of Beta Israel.
The holiday falls on the 29th of the month of Tashwan (the 29th of Heshvan), 50
days after Yom Kippur, and is a day of fasting, purification and renewal. In a
year in which the 29th of Heshvan falls on Shabbat, the festival of Sigd will
be brought forward to Thursday (i.e., the 27th of Heshvan).
The Sigd is a pilgrimage festival centered on the ceremony of renewing the
covenant between the people and God. In Israel, the custom of celebrating the
holiday on the Armon Hanatziv promenade, which overlooks the Temple Mount, was
accepted in the presence of members of the community and public figures.
This page is intended to assist you with any employee rights related to the
Sigd holiday.
Employees in the Private Sector
The Sigd holiday is a day of
choice<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.kolzchut.org.il/he/**E_**I_**K__;15nXnteZ15fXldek16nXlNec15HXl9eZ16jXlA!!KGKeukY!yoOAVHdYK9-rDJK1DTYltGs0A6BapDA2w_QfxD-EaaZiz5AAVUfDXM_pOhyev0wNU-abJ4ZJUdinXQ4KU3M_AuEpaVNGRw$>,
a day in which the employee chooses to go on vacation or work.
If the employee chooses to take a vacation on this day, the day will be
deducted from the balance of hisannual
leave<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.kolzchut.org.il/he/**I_**I__;15fXldek16nXlNep16DXqteZ16o!!KGKeukY!yoOAVHdYK9-rDJK1DTYltGs0A6BapDA2w_QfxD-EaaZiz5AAVUfDXM_pOhyev0wNU-abJ4ZJUdinXQ4KU3M_AuEuVwwiwA$>.

choice and to receive pay for them.
The list of election days for civil servants is detailed in the Civil Service

if he or she actually worked or was on annual leave on the day before/after the
election day.

**External Email**

Hello all,

I have a student researching the Sigd Law of 2008. We’re encountering
difficulties accessing policy and legislative documents related to the law and
the process of ratification. Does anyone have access to documents or somewhere
to direct them? High preference for English language, but we can get assistance
with Hebrew materials as well.

Thank you,

AJ Robinson
