Nan, I don't know everything out there, but you might try I Am Israeli: The
Children of Israel by Eva L. Weiss, which is from a series called Voices From
Israel.
There is also a wonderful book called Three Wishes: Palestinian and Israeli
Children Speak by Deborah Ellis.
Finally, Sharing Our Homeland: Palestinian and Jewish Children at Summer Peace
Camp by Trish Marx describes these kids living and playing together despite
differences.

Hello,
Are there factual/subjective books that have been written by Israeli youth
about their personal experiences living in Israel since ’48? I am looking to
share books with our libraries that really humanize, demonstrate heartfelt
desire for peace, and share the Israel experiences, fears, and the
disappointment that the partition plan in ’48 was rejected.
I have a list of several well written books that describe the Palestinian
perspective from those living in certain areas (and am able to share that as an
example of what I am looking for), but I haven’t seen much from Israel other
than fiction or more politically/historically oriented. I’m looking for simple
writings that can be shared with middle school, teenage, and older.
I have already contacted the Jerusalem libraries, and they referred me to PJ
library in case these books are not yet written since they may be able to find
an author who can write one.
Please advise!
Nan
