Nov. 30 is the day set aside to remember the exodus of Jews from Arab and Moslem lands. (Yom Haplitim). There is a wonderful site, *Harif (**https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.harif.org/__;!!KGKeukY!zP0L0la_qX8keHDWnrIQl3e8BZ26Gfcz-7OOcXFsmcpY3GYp9c1cvpxCNvuc6GexX2Nimla24MNj-5QbN048wxVo$ <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.harif.org/__;!!KGKeukY!zP0L0la_qX8keHDWnrIQl3e8BZ26Gfcz-7OOcXFsmcpY3GYp9c1cvpxCNvuc6GexX2Nimla24MNj-5QbN048wxVo$ >), *founded by Lyn Julius, with very interesting free zoom programs and articles on the history of Jews from the Middle East and North Africa. There are relatively few events planned to commemorate Nov. 30. All types of programs are held to raise awareness of different important events and issues related to our community and others (Holocaust Memorial Day, Martin Luther King Day etc.). I am hoping that organizations (in and outside of our community) will plan programs to help preserve the rich culture and history of Jews from the Middle East before the history is erased and forgotten. Our synagogue (Magen David Sephardic Congregation) is having an event on the Jews of Sudan on Dec. 6th (information to be posted shortly). I encourage you to visit the Harif site and to organize a program. Below are examples of Harif lectures (click to view). Thanks, Gail
