It's been reported to me that the trac instance on hackage, at least for hackage itself (http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/hackage/) seems to have broken user registration.
The error thrown is: The password file could not be updated. Trac requires read and write access to both the password file and its parent directory. Can someone look at this? By the way, I successfully created a new login on the gsoc trac, so this issue doesn't appear to be across the board. Also, address verification email worked, for those interested. Thanks, Gershom
