I'm going to be upgrading the firmware for the border router and firewall at Galois tomorrow, Fri Sep 27 at 6:00 pm PDT.
Impact: abbot (the old hackage server) will be unavailable. The firmware is a fairly major upgrade, so I'm somewhat unsure how smoothly the procedure will go. Best case is that the downtime lasts about 30 minutes. Worst case involves a rollback re-installation that will leave us offline for 90 to 120 minutes. Duncan told me that he holler in my direction if for some reason the the hackage -> hackage2 move blows up and we need to press abbot back into frontline service.
