Hi!

I have been using Gofer on Sun4's at school, and have recently obtained a
Macintosh SE/30 with 5M of memory. It also has a large Radius display, and
I'm running System 7.

I have played with MacGofer 0.12, and wanted to express my appreciation.
MacGofer is an excellent system!

I run MacGofer in a 3M partition, and I was wondering if you had any
recommendations for how to set the memory parameters in order to optimize
this particular configuration?

The only bugs I noticed were:

1. Crash when stack overflows due to infinite recursion... but I think
you already knew about this bug in 0.12

2. Interface problem: under System 7, when I return to the Finder, without
quiting MacGofer, and double-click on a MacGofer source file to open it,
MacGofer gives me a dialog to choose which file I want to open. Of course,
the one I want to open is the one I double-clicked, so it shouldn't be
necessary to give me a dialog. This is not a serious bug, by any means.
(And since I'm not a Mac hacker, I have no idea how easy/hard it would be
to fix.) Nonetheless, I thought I'd mention it.

In a practical sense, neither of these concerns has affected my enjoyment
of MacGofer.

You mentioned in your announcement that you did not know ftp details for Clean.
Although I have not used Clean, I believe the ftp address is: ftp.cs.kun.nl

If you have some kind of MacGofer mailing list, please add me.

Thanks again!
