Hello everyone,

I desperately need help, can someone please assist?.

I am very new to the Haskell environment and to this list. I have just started studying Haskell at University and have had problems downloading Haskell or Hugs to my PC; I wondered whether it had anything to do with the options set in the ini file in the Installation guide html.

The version of Hugs at my University, when loaded, displays an environment where you have a tool bar at the top of the screen with various options. It also allows me to copy from and paste to the Hugs screen prompt (Prelude> or Main>).

The system at home does not enable me to do this, nor does it give me a toolbar for file save, options, names, etc., the typical toolbar options. It does however give a toolbar which enables me to change the font; hmmmmn, very useful.

Can somebody please advise me where I am going wrong.

My system at home is a Pentium 200, Windows 98 version, 64M Ram, 3 GB HDD. The systems at the University are Linux and Windows NT.

I really would appreciate any help offered in terms of downloading .exes, whether I need to download libraries, or whether there is a straight forward way of getting all the options. If so, where on earth do I find this information from and download files from?.

Many thanks,

Avril
