In the Programming Languages and Compiler Construction group
at the Institute of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics
of the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel is a position of a
Research/Teaching Assistant
for a period of at least two years (with a possible extension to
four years) available. The position should be filled as soon as possible.
The salary is IIa BAT on a German scale (which amounts to
approximately DM 70,000 per year (before tax) depending on
age and marital status). Applicants must have an M.Sc. or Diploma
degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
Successful applicants will provide assistance in the teaching
and (Ph.d.) research on programming languages.
Possible research topics are:
- Design and implementation of modern programming languages
for the design of complex (distributed) systems
- Integration of programming language paradigms
(e.g., integration of functional, logic, object-oriented,
and concurrent concepts)
- Analysis and partial verification of programs
- Programming environments and applications (e.g., Internet programming)
of high-level programming languages
