Amen to that!

The numeric classes are a constant frustration when one just
wants some plain numbers in a program. There is however so
much more stuff there that it takes ages everytime I want to
find, for example, the right exponentiation function.

It is even more frustrating to see that the people for who
this complicated class structure has been designed (people
doing maths programming in Haskell, like Jerzy) are not even
satisfied by the seemingly inconsistent design.
