A new release of Hugs98 is just around the corner, introducing a number of worthwhile extensions and enhancements (see announcement blurb at the end of this message.)
To help us flush out any remaining issues/bugs, a release candidate is now available for test use. The dev. team is very keen on having Hugs users try out this new release, and report back any issues they may into to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The release candidate is available in source form (and for the benefit of Win32 users, a binary distribution) from http://cvs.haskell.org/Hugs/downloads/Oct2002/ thanks --sigbjorn --------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are pleased to announce a new release of Hugs98, an interpreter and programming environment for developing Haskell programs. Sources and binaries are freely available on the World-Wide Web. Feature highlights of this new release are: - Much improved FFI support (contributed by Alastair Reid), bringing Hugs really very close to the Haskell FFI specification. - Adoption of a significant subset of GHC's hierarchical libraries (hard work contributed by Ross Paterson.) - An (allegedly) complete implementation of the Haskell98 module system. - Numerous bug fixes since the previous major release in Dec 2001.
