A similar thing happened in Boston: a restaraunteur had a series of decent, reasonable quality chains -- Joey's Ice Cream, then Bertucci's (pizza, Italian), then Naked Fish (Cuban seafood).
http://www.bostonphoenix.com/boston/food_drink/dining/documents/02700220.htm But when some of the Naked Fish locations weren't doing so well, he had them rebranded as Red Sauce, with a logo as boring as the name: http://www.nakedfish.com/red_sauce_info.htm They mostly closed up pretty fast, as near as I can tell -- that review was from 2003, and there's only one location still listed on their site. I blame the Comic Sans. But then, from a quick look at the HTML source -- <o:SmartTagType namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="PostalCode"/> <o:SmartTagType namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="address"/> -- etc. Maybe the font was the least of it. Maybe it was software hate, too. -- Chris Devers DO NOT LEAVE IT IS NOT REAL
