Ahem, just realized my reply was accidentally off-list. It contained
topic-suited hate, so is being resent. Hate over the resend can be
forwarded to Thunderbird for not handling lists very well.

Did they? There's Managed C++ and C++/CLI.
Managed C++... there's a pile of hate. Let's take all the complexity and
bad design in C++, and throw away the speed and efficiency by compiling
it to .NET interpreted pseudocode instead.
Microsoft has such great ideas when it comes to languages.
