Doesn't MS still set the machine's clock to localtime - and thus change it twice a year in most places - rather than simply leaving it on gmtime and converting in-OS (i.e. the Unix or "correct" way)? (I still recall the weekend shift one autumn when I was privileged to watch a Windows machine gradually fill its screen with dialogue boxes saying "ooh, look how clever I am! I've set the clock back an hour!". One per hour.) Roger -- EGLL 091620Z 04010KT 010V080 9999 FEW025 SCT035 08/04 Q0981 EGWU 091550Z 06016KT 9999 SCT022 SCT070 08/03 Q0980 BECMG FEW022
