I tested this w/ 16k. .META. don't look too bad. hovers at about 3 files in
store. region historian might get in the way since its bunch of data so skews
things in that .META. will schedule flushes when 16k edits of region historian
info since this is likely to happen first. Not all region historian updates
merit edits in .META. so it kinda throws things off.
