Nicolas, the hadoop that is checked into hbase under its lib dir is
hadoop-0.20.2 with hdfs-200+hdfs-862. You'd like me to also apply hdfs-988 and
current hdfs-142 and then apply this patch? hdfs-862 is currently client-side
and I'd guess hdfs-200 has no effect unles dfs.append.support=true is in place.
What about hdfs-988 and hdfs-142? Will it be ok if hbase is running atop an
hadoop 0.20.x that doesn't have these applied?
