This line from your log is telling the root cause. "Call to localhost/127.0.0.1:54310 failed on connection exception: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused." Possibilities: 1) Your namenode is not running. 2) Namenode is running but listening on a different port. 3) Your host firewall is brain dead and filtering on loopback device. Make sure you can reach your DFS with command hadoop fs -ls hdfs://localhost:54310/
